KELLOGG, Alaine Lois nee MOLL 1918 - 2001CHARLES CITY - Alaine Kellogg, 82, Charles City, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Charles City with the Rev. Curt Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Charles City. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 3-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 and also at the church an hour prior to services on Monday. Alaine Lois Moll Kellogg was born Nov. 6, 1918 at Garner, the daughter of Walter and Bertha (Grunz) Moll. She moved with her parents to Charles City where she attended Lincoln School and graduated from Charles City High School. On Oct. 11, 1942, she married Wendell N. Kellogg at Charles City. She was the Floyd County Recorder for 17 years and before that time was an associate at the court house. Alaine also worked for many years in many capacities as an election official. She was an avid bowler, was a charter member and life member of the Charles City Women's Bowling Association, the Charles City Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame and was a member of the 600 Club. She was also a member of the Floyd County Republican party. Survivors include two sons, Robert (Marie) Kellogg, Charles City and Ray Kellogg, Turlock, CA; two daughters, Jean (Ralph) Anderson, Charles City and Carol Herbers, Arvada, CO; seven grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Wendell in 1994 and a brother, Dale. Memorials may be directed to the family, which intends to use it for a bowling scholarship.
