SHELL ROCK - Jill Annette (Achenbaugh) Jirak, 30, Shell Rock, formerly from Henderson, IA and Higginsville, MO, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001 at Waverly Municipal Hospital, Waverly from complications during child birth.
Kane Jirak, 2 days, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City from complications of child birth.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Shell Rock United Methodist Church, Shell Rock with Pastor Reajff Ottesen officiating.
Burial will be in the Farm Creek Cemetery, Henderson on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 5 p.m.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at.the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Shell Rock with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Jill Achenbaugh was born on Dec. 5, 1970 in Red Oak, the daughter of Darry and Mary (McMartin) Achenbaugh. She graduated from Lafayette C 1 in Higginsville, MO in 1989 and from Simpson College with a B.S. degree in 1993. On July 10,1993, she was united in marriage to Mark Jirak in Carson. They moved to Shell Rock, where she was employed by Jerry Jorgensen Company as an appraiser. Jill loved animals, spending time with family, doing cross stitch and puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Jirak; daughter, Taylor Jirak, at home; maternal mother and stepfather, Mary and Lester Homfeld, Higginsville, MO; paternal parents, David Jirak, Lawler and Carol Jirak, New Hampton; grandparents, Bill and Muriel McMartin, Carson and
grandmothers, Velva Achenbaugh, Davenport, Orella Schwickerath, New Hampton; brother, Cory (Tara) Achenbaugh, Minden; stepsister, Michelle Homfeld, Higginsville, MO; stepbrother, Tim Homfield, Higginsville, MO; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding in death were Jill's father, Darry Achenbaugh, in 1984 and
grandfather, Darrell Achenaugh, in 1978.
Memorials may be left for Taylor's education or the church of your choice.
