FERGUSON, Norma E. LANTOW 1917 - 2001NEW HAMPTON --Norma Ferguson, 83, New Hampton, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City of natural causes. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton with Rev. David Bergstrom and Rev. Kevin Frey officiating. Edith Kolthoff will be the organist and will accompany those in attendance singing "Let There Be Peace On Earth" and "Just As I Am". Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua with Gary Schulz, Jim Lantow, Charles Lantow, Wayne Lantow, Lynn Lantow and Harold Lantow serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Wanda Marth, Judy Bennor, Janice Bennor, Jeanette Oeltjenbruns, Phyllis Axtell, Darlene Waltner, Linda Burgart and Cindy Lantow. Visitation was from 3 to 8 .m. Monday, Sept. 17 at onway Funeral Home, New Hampton and will also be an hour prior to services at the church. Norma Emma Ferguson was born Dec. 21,1917 near Sumner, the daughter of Herman and Lena (Etter) Lantow. She attended rural school near her home. After her schooling she worked on the family farm and also for their neighbors. She was united in marriage to Gerald Ferguson at her parent's home near Nashua on Aug. 2, 1939. After their marriage the couple resided on the Ferguson family farm five miles east of Nashua. The couple lived on the farm for about 20 years until Gerald's death in 1958. In Oct. of 1959 she moved to New Hampton where she was em-loyed as bookkeeper for icnard's John Deere Implement and later Boos Implement, retiring from there in 1980. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries and family history, and also enjoyed telephone conversations with her friends. Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Bennor, Nashua and Viola (John) Sullivan, Nashua; one brother, Raymond (Mary) Lantow, Fredericksburg; one sister-in-law, Elaine Lantow, Nashua and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gerald; one brother, Robert Lantow; one great niece, Suzanne Lantow and one nephew, Glen Lantow.
