DOCKENDORF, Lenora E. nee RIES 1925 - 2001NEW HAMPTON - Lenora E. Dockendorf, 76, New Hampton, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center-New Hampton of natural causes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday. Nov. 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Hampton with Rev. Carl Schmitt celebrating the mass. Music for the service will be provided by Ann Bennett as organist, St. Mary's Choir and the Immaculate Conception Men's Choir of North Washington. The pall will be placed on the casket by her four daughters and granddaughter, Madeline Gerleman. Lector for the service will be Lynn Nosbisch. The offertory gifts will be presented by Kiley Kirkpatrick, Jill Dockendorf, Katie Rosonke and Jessi Gebel. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton with pallbearers Clint Dockendorf, Mitch Rosonke, Brodie Dockendorf, Jeff Dockendorf, Cory Gebel, Sean Kirkpatrick, Nick Dockendorf and Travis Gebel. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Gerleman, Nathan Dockendorf, Brad Dockendorf, Nolan Kriener and Caleb Rosonke. Visitation was 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 at Huge-back Funeral Home, New Hampton where there was a 4 p.m. Rosary and an 8 p.m. Scripture Service. Lenora was born March 25, 1925 in New Vienna, the daughter of George and Mathilda (Gassman) Kies. At an early age, the Ries family moved near North Washington where Lenora attended school and graduated from St. Mary's School in 1943. On Aug. 25,1947 she was united in marriage with Raymond B. Dockendorf. Together the couple farmed and raised their family near North Washington before retiring in 1986 and moving into New Hampton. Lenora was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards and quilting. Survivors include five sons, Jim (Jan), New Hampton, Thomas (Helen), New Hampton, John, Frederika, Steve, New Hampton and Charles (Julie), Elma; four daughters, Janet (Russ) Kirkpatrick, Missouri Valley, Anita Gebel, Lawler, Jean (Rich) Kriener, Eau Claire, WI and Paula (Tom) Rosonke, New Hampton; a son-in-law, Troy Gerleman, Mar-ion; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one bro-ther, Gary (Mary Lou) Ries, Ionia; two sisters, Betty (Norb) Jenn, Ionia and Joyce (Jerry), Lang, Morgantown, WV. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ray, in 1991; one daughter, Amy Gerleman, in 1997; two sisters, Mary Golly and Anita Ries and one brother, Silvis.
