BILHARZ, Ronald A. Jr. 1936 - 2001NASHUA — Ronald Alan Bilharz, Jr., 34, died as the result of an auto accident south of Nashua on Tuesday evening, July 3,2001. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. July 7 at United Methodist Church, Nashua with Pastor Marion Sindt officiating. Music was provided by Neida Shepard as organist ana Tiffanv Bengtson as vocalist Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua. Honoraiy casketbearers were Tim Rilharz, Eric Bilharz, Jeremy Bilharz, Mike Sedgwick, Mike Lindner, Stacy Ackerson, Doug Sedgwick, Todd Bilharz, Brian Sedgwick, Barry DeBower, Dave Hadley and Larry Ray Marreel. Casketbearers were Brian Bilharz, Travis Bilharz, David Crooks, Jr., Pat Bilharz, James Crooks and Cyron (Bud) Fisher, Jr. Ron was born Aug. 23,1966, the son of Ronald and Susan (Marreel) Bilharz. He started school at Lincoln Elementary, Charles City and then attended Nashua schools, graduating in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army for seven years and the Iowa National Guard for six years. While in the Army he was stationed in Germany, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia. During his time in Germany he attended college classes through the University of Marylana. Ron married Heather West in Florida, they later divorced. He moved back to Nashua in 1993. He was currently employed by Heartland Asphalt, Inc. as a cement finisher. Fishing was his favorite pastime. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Ron and Janet Bilharz, Nashua; his mother and step-father, Susan Burreson and Terry Squier, Ionia; two children, Brandon Bilharz, Nixa, MO and Brittany Bilharz, Charles City; a brother, Brad (Dawne) Bilharz, Charles City; a sister, Becky (Todd) Dukeshier, Waterloo; paternal grandmother, Mildred Bilharz, Sulphur Springs, TX; four stepsisters, Connie (Bruce) Goddard, Charles City, Christy (Jeremy) Deutsch, Nashua, Cathy (Kenny) Haut and Carey Schultz, all of Plainfield and five nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, Clair Bilharz; maternal grandparents, Ray and Huberta Marreel and stepfather, Harris Burreson.
