BEAN, Grace M. nee GREEN 1911 - 2001

NASHUA - Grace M. Bean, 89, Nashua, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home, Charles City of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 11 am. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at St. John Lutheran Church, Nashua.

Burial will be in Greenwood. Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chenoweth ana Son Funeral Home, Nashua and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Grace was born Dec. 10,1911 in Clinton. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1929 and received her B.S. Degree from Wartburg College in 1964. She married Bertie D. Bean on July 4, 1931 at the Lutheran Church in Waverly. She was a rural area teacher and was an elementary teacher for Nashua Community Schools from 1955 until retiring in 1977.

Survivors include her children, Zaneta (LaVerne) Walters, Osage, Wilma Bent-tine, Mason City, David Bean, Waverly, Marilyn (Bob) Sherman, Swisher and Steven (Ester) Bean, Greenwood, DE; one brother, Harry Greene, Charles City; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bertie D. Bean in 1994; her parents; two brothers, Rev. Elmer Greene and one in infancy and a sister, Myrtle Isley.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
