BAUER, Irvin F. 1914 - 2001NASHUA - Irvin F. Bauer, 86, Nashua, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Liebe Care Center in Greene of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 4 at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua with Pastor David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3 and 9-1:30 a.m. Friday at the Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church. Irvin F. Bauer was born Aug. 6, 1914 in LaPorte City, the son of Edward and Wilhelmina (Rubich) Bauer. He attended rural schools and on Jan. 16, 1937, married Frances M. Fritze at St. John's Lutheran Church, Charles City. He was an assembly line worker for Oliver Mfg. and White Farm Equipment Co. in Charles City for 38 years. Surviving are two sons, James (Dottie) Bauer, Bethalto, IL and Rev. Norman (Carol) Bauer, Ostrander, MN; two daughters, Joan (Earl) Frascht, Greene and Beverly (Harlan) Schmadeke, Clarksville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Maxine Bauer, Charles City. Preceding: him in death were his wife,Trances on Oct. 10, 1994; parents; two brothers, Louis Bauer and Edward Bauer; three sisters, Edna Bonsall, Ida Wright and Rose Linn.
