ANDERSON, John 1921 - 2001NEW HAMPTON - John Anderson, 79, rural New Hampton, died Wednesday morning, May 16, 2001 at his home. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, May 18 at Saude Lutheran Church, rural Lawler, with Rev. Kent Dethlefsen officiating. Mary Beth Dethlefsen will be organist and the congregation will sing "Just As I Am","Take My Life And Let It Be" and "Oh Happy Day When We Shall Stand". Interment is in the Saude Lutheran Church Cemetery with Jack Anderson, Travis Anderson, Stuart Anderson, Chad Anderson, Don Anderson and Jason Anderson as pallbearers. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home in New Hampton, with a 7 p.m. Video Memorial Tribute. Visitation is also an hour prior to the services at the church. John was born June 3, 1921 on the Anderson home farm in north Chickasaw County, the son of Ole and Rachel (Leifson) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Saude Lutheran Church. John at-i tended the Meadowland Country School and was a' 1939 graduate of New Hampton High School. On Dec. 11, 1943, John was united in marriage with Doris Ellingson at tne Ellingson family farm by the Rev. N. Tjernagel. John and Doris farmed in north Chickasaw County. He was a member of the Saude Lutheran Church and the Men’s Club. Survivors include three sons, Jack (Nancy) Anderson, New Hampton, Don (Jodie) Anderson, Lawler, Stuart (Kimberly) Anderson, North-wood; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Theodora Smith, Winchester, TN, Ruth (Dwain) Mintz, Menomoriie, Wl, and June (Merle) Reintz, Hager City, Wl. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Doris on March 30, 2001; two grandchildren, Joseph and Trisha Anderson; three brothers, Art, Nels and Oren Anderson.
