ALLISON, Garford c1915 - 2001

NASHUA - Garford Allison, 86, Nashua, died at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Garford farmed all his life in the Nashua area. He served his country during World War II for three years and five months, all overseas.

Surviving are three sons, Alvin and Brian, both of Nashua, Kevin, Taylor, TX; four grandchildren; one brother, Charles Allison, Marshalltown; one sister, Mildred Lee, Charles City.

Preceding him in death were his wife Bea (Reetz) in 1987; two brothers, Leland and Clark.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
