A Funeral Mass for Henry "Hank" was held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in LeRoy at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Russell Scepaniak officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery following the service.

Henry Runde, 61, of rural Mclntire, died late Wednesday evening. Aug. 9 at the Riceville Community Care Center where he had resided for one week.

He was born December 21, 1938, in LeRoy to Paul and Elizabeth Runde. He attended country schools in the Oakdale area and later attended and graduated from LeRoy High School.

He was united in marriage to Barbara King on November 14, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. Together they farmed in the Mclntire area.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons Mike and wife Deb Runde of Tucson, Ariz., Dean and wife Sandy Runde of LeRoy, Ron Runde of Mclntire, and David Runde of LeRoy; daughters Sharon and husband Mike Goldsmith of Rochester and Susan Runde of Rochester; six grandchildren, his father Paul of LeRoy; a brother, Ed Runde and wife Corine of LeRoy; two sisters, Elizabeth and husband Ed Adams of Waverly, Iowa, and Anna and husband Tom Bonnette of Riceville.

He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Alan; and an infant sister.

Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
