WAUCOMA - Arlene F. Roberts, 82, Waucoma, died Monday, June 19 at Mercy Medical Center-New Hampton.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 29 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Stapleton, with Rev. Milton Johnson presiding.

Pallbearers were Bernard Deeny, Randy Roberts, Vernon Perry, Gene Winter, Gene Wenger and Otto Zmoos.

Visitation was at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 28 and also an hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Arlene Frances Roberts, daughter of Walter and Eliza (Beier) Roberts, was born Feb. 4, 1918 at Waucoma. She graduated from Waucoma High School in 1934. Arlene worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, DC until 1950. She then moved to Portland, OR and worked for the Bank of California for 26 years. Upon retirement in 1978, Arlene returned to Waucoma to make her home. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and working at the Historical Society in Waucoma.

Surviving are a sister, Sylvia Roberts, Waucoma; one brother, Ellis (Barbara) Roberts, Portland, OR; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, George Roberts.
