M. Blanche Pflieger, 95M. Blanche Pflieger, age 95, of Manly and formerly of Plymouth and Osage, died Thursday Jan. 20, 2000 at the Manly Care Center. Mildred was bom on April 4, 1904 in Hamilton County near Webster City, the daughter of Albert and Rosa' (Albright) Adams. She moved to Mitchell County with her family. She married Frank Pflieger on Sept. 6, 1926 in Osage. They farmed in the Mitchell, Osage and Little Cedar areas. In 1937 they moved near Riceville and farmed there until Frank’s death in 1958. Blanche moved to Osage and in 1978 she moved to Plymouth. When she lived in Osage she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and when she lived in Plymouth she was an active member of Plymouth United Methodist Church. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24 at the United Methodist phurch in Plymouth with Rev. Debra Stowers and Rev. Richard Pippert officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery, Little Cedar with Champion Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Blanche is survived by one son, Robert Pflieger and his wife Doris of Plymouth; three sisters, Christina Thumau of Osage, Mary Gerbig of Osage and Phyllis Bruggeman of St. Ansgar; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank in 1958; a son, Roger Pflieger; a daughter, Rosa Warburton; a son-in-law, Harry Warburton; a sister, Hazel McFarland; three brothers, Charlie, Vemie and Leo Adams.
