Henry F. McCarthy, 69Henry F. McCarthy, 69, of Kenosha, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999 at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center. Born Dec. 27, 1929, in Osage, Iowa, he was the son of the late Henry and Allie (Schweiger) McCarthy. He was raised and attended school in Iowa. On Dec. 29, 1956, he married Lucille Benegas in Iowa. They moved to Kenosha in 1960. He taught mathematics at Bradford High School until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, treasurer for the Retired Teachers Association, and was very active in the Kenosha Education Association. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Jonathan of New York, Kevin of Australia and Allen of North Carolina; four daughters, Diane McCarthy of Virginia, Maureen Bageant of Maryland, Ruth Bolyard of Kenosha and Susan Steffens of Madison; two brothers, Edward of Minnesota and Thomas of Mclntire, Iowa; five sisters, Marion Pitzen of Iowa, Grace Thornton of Minnesota, Mary King of California, Pat Detrick of Texas and Jeanette Gallagher of Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren. A brother. Bernard, preceded him in death.
