Daniel E. Maloney, 85, of Fallbrook, Cal., formerly of Santa Ana, a retired banker, died Aug. 23, 2000, of heart failure. Services were at the Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary in Santa Ana.

Survivors are his wife, Laura; brothers, Michael and Patrick; and sister, Molly Freeman.
