Raymond Willard Hanson, 84Services were held Saturday, Jan. 15 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church for Raymond Willard Hanson, 84, LeRoy resident who died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 at his home. The Rev. Tom Kolden officiated at the 11 a.m. services. Interment was in the Madison Township Cemetery at Forest City, Iowa. Mr. Hanson was born Oct. 25, 1915, in Miller, Iowa, son of Louis and Hanah Hanson. He attended country school through the eighth grade, and was united in marriage to Louise L. Etzen Jan. 19, 1935 at Gamer, Iowa. To this union four daughters were born. The couple farmed in the Riceville, Iowa area until his retirement in 1974. At that time he moved to LeRoy where he resided until his death. Survivors include his wife, Louise, LeRoy; four daughters, Charlene (Clarence) Johnson, Lincoln, Nebr.; Marcella (Lester) Clapp, Rochester; Deloryce (Glenn) Johnson, LeRoy, and Lenore (Steven) Peters, Mukwonago, Wise. Also seven grandchildren, Rebecca Krueger, Randy and Valerie Clapp, Allan and |ay Johnson, Stephanie and Jason Peters; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, Also four sisters, Mary Stewart of Oklahoma. Dorothy Wilson, ???? (Alvin) Schroeder, and Vivian (Dwayne) Rasmussen, all of Iowa, four Brothers, Earnest, Milton and Duane, all of lowa, and Earl of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Kim, and two sisters, Pearl and Laura.
