Services were held for Verneal Ellingson at 11 a.m. on Monday Nov. 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ostrander. She died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at her home in Ostrander.

Rev. Norman Bauer officiated at the services. Interment was at Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, Iowa.

She was born July 2,1924, in Glenville, Minn., to Rueben and Mabel Nelson. She was baptized, confirmed, and married in the Lutheran faith.

She was united in marriage to Glen Ellingson on March 31,1946 in Northwood, Iowa. Nine children were born to this union. Seven boys and two girls.

Verneal graduated from Northwood High school class of 1942. She attended courses at the University of Northern Iowa, and Luther
