A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Oct. 9 in St. Edward Catholic Church,Waterloo, Iowa, for Deloris I Bruggeman, 85, LeRoy native who died Thursday, Oct. 5,2000.

The Rev. Robert Davies, associate pastor, officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery at Waterloo.

She was born Aug. 11, 1915 in LeRoy, daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Huber Schutz. She married Dr. Cecil R. Bruggeman Jan. 22, 1953 in Havana, Cuba. He preceded her in death in 1976.

She was active in home building and land development in Waterloo for 37 years, retiring in 1981. She was also Deputy Treasurer of Black Hawk County from 1942 to 1952.

Survivors include one brother, Elmer Schutz, LeRoy.

Memorials may be directed to the Church or Cedar Valley Hospice i Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball was in charge of arrangements.|
