Karl A. Brigson, 67, of Readlyn, Iowa, died Saturday morning, August 12, 2000, at his,home of natural causes.

Karl was born on May 21, 1933, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Anton and 11a (Bond) Brigson. He attended school in Waterloo. Karl worked for the Rath Packing Company in Waterloo for 17 years and then attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo where he received his certificate in electronics. The family then moved to Lindenhurst, Illinois, and Karl began his electronics career. In 1971 he went to work for A.E.S. Systems in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where he served as a Manufacturing Manager. Bertha died in 1987 and in 1990 Karl retired. He moved to Readlyn in 1994 where he had since lived.

Karl very much enjoyed fishing and then antique cars, but his greatest passion was his family, especially his two grandchildren, Nicole and Christopher.

Karl is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Karl Jr. and Karrie Brigson of Burlington, Wise.; his two grandchildren, Nicole and Christopher of Burlington; his mother, Ilia Fink of Readlyn; three brothers, Gene Fassett and his wife Carol of Waterloo, Neil Brigson of Readlyn, Randy Fink and his wife Sue of Waterloo; two sisters, Janice Ahrenholz and her husband Bill of Readlyn, Toni Van Natta and her husband Jerry of Readlyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Anton; his wife Bertha in 1987; and his step-father, Clarence Fink.

Graveside services was Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at the Riverside Cemetery. Riceville, Iowa.
