Harold Stevenson died recently of wounds, in a French hospital,
according to word received by Prof. R.A. Stevenson, who is an uncle of
the unfortunate lad. Harold was a liberal arts student in the
university for three years from 1915 to 1917. He enlisted in the
marines and was one of the gallant men who made the historic charge at
Chateau Thierry in July, where he received his mortal wounds. Many who
are now in the university and many Iowa City people will remember this
young man and mourn his untimely end.
