Rev. J. S. Leamer and son Bruce V. Leamer of Clinton
are visitors at the M.O. Roland home on Burlington street. Bruce Leamer
took care of Homer Roland who died while in service in France, and was
one of the last persons to see the popular Iowa City young man alive.
Leamer was with Camp Hospital No. 4 in Paris. Homer Roland was the
first Iowa man that Leamer saw in France and a warm friendship sprang
up between the two men following the meeting.
