Young Hero Is Laid To Rest

The last, sad rites in memory of another gold star winner were conducted Sunday afternoon, when Francis S. Larew, of the 349th Ambulance company, medical corps, was laid to rest. The young warrior, who died at Hericourt, France, Oct. 11, 1918, after less than four months in the service, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Larew, of Iowa City. He was 26 in November. The American Legion conducted the military funeral, Sunday, and the event was one of beauty and impressiveness.
