Charles Chadmia has purchased the meat business from Edward Sampson and the transfer will be made the first of next month.
The old bus barn which has been in service in Hampton for thirty-two years is being torn down to make room for a more modern structure. Contractor for Chris Simenson says the lumber is well preserved and a large part of it is better than the lumber that is sold today. The material will be used to make several dwelling houses.
The contract for the remodeling of the Citizens' National Bank was let at a meeting of the directors Wednesday evening. Work will make one more modern bank for Hampton.
R. M. Harrison, who has been owner of the Chapin Lumber Company for the past several years, sold out the first of the week to T. H. Dalbey, of Ames. C. J. Kirkpatrick who has been manager of the concern for Mr. Harrison, expects to stay with the new owner in the same capacity.
Over 100 land owners met with the board of supervisors to protest against the proposed drainage ditch in West Fork and Ross townships. The board took the matter under advisement.
