MARRIED. --------------- KREUGER - MILLER |
|
A very pretty church wedding occurred at the German Baptist church,
Wednesday, October 6, 1909, when, at eleven o'clock a.m., Rev. J.G.
Draewel performed the marriage ceremony that united for life, Metta
A. Miller and Edwin A. Kreuger. The ceremony was a very pretty one
and was witnessed by a large number of relatives and immediate
friends.
The young couple advanced to the alter to the
strains of the wedding march, played by Hans Keiser, where they were
met by Rev. J. G. Draewel who pronounced the words that made them
husband and wife. After congratulations about seventy-five
relatives drove to the home of bride's parents, Hon, and Mrs.
Christian Miller in Clermont, where an elegant wedding dinner was
served. In the evening a reception was tendered to the young
acquaintances of the couple and they gathered at the home where they
spent the evening pleasantly. The German Baptist band was there and
played a number of very nice selections.
Miss Miller is a
young lady of accomplishments and refinement, who has a large circle
of friends whom she has won by her lovable and womanly disposition.
She will make a true wife and helpmate for the man of her choice.
Mr. Kreuger is a young man of sterling qualities and exemplary
habits. He has grown to manhood here and is widely known as a
man whose word is as good as his bond, and now that he has taken a
life partner his many friends will congratulate.
Mr. and
Mrs. Kreuger will commence married life by assuming control of the
farm which has been conducted by Alfred Miller, while he and his
wife will move to Clermont where he will assist in the work of the
power dam which is being built by Miller & Sons, and as Mrs. Kreuger
is the youngest daughter of the family it brings to mind and
interesting fact. Christian Miller and wife have reared a large and
interesting family. They are all thrifty and prosperous and Mr.
Miller has so arranged his business affairs as to give each of his
children a nice start, and now he has all his boys and girls nicely
located, some engaged in mercantile and others in agricultural
pursuits, but, all prospering and living near him. The families work
in harmony and Mr. Miller always has a business place for his boys
and girls which keeps them near him and gives to our community
worthy and progressive citizens. The ECHO extends
congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs.Kreuger. |
