HALVERSON-CHRIST WEDDING |
On Thursday, May 6, 1902, Mr. Albert Halverson and Miss Lizzie
Christ, both of Elgin, hired themselves away to Elkader and
unbeknown to many of their friends, committed matrimony. May peace
and plenty be their is the Echo's wish.
The following is
taken from the Elkader Register: In the parlor of Hotel Bayless,
this Thursday morning, occurred the marriage of Albert Halverson and
Miss Elizabeth Christ, of Elgin. Justice Geo. Wolf performed the
ceremony in his usual pleasing manner, The bride and
groom were attended by F.S. Walton and Miss Marie Halverson, a
sister of the groom. We extend hearty congratulations. Mr. and
Mrs. Halverson left Elgin Monday morning for a trip through the
state of Montana. |
