Pre-birthday party honors Dora
Carter
A pre-birthday party honoring Dora Carter was
held Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 9, at the Grandview Nursing Home in
Oelwein. Hostesses were Mrs. Mila Bray Ogle and Grace Meyer of
Fayette. Others attending were Mrs. Marcella Esters,
Mrs. Helen Fox, Miss Harriet Ranney, Miss Madge Benton an Mrs. E. E.
Garbee all of Fayette, Miss Edna Luce of Elgin and Mrs. Lane of
Oelwein. Miss Carter's birthday is Aug. 28. She received
a number of gifts and flowers from those attending. Refreshments were served.
