Mrs. Forrest Johnston of Coggon visited Mrs. A.
J. Fox a couple of days last week. Mrs. Johnston is the former
Gladys Marolf, and taught in the high school in Fayette from
1925-1929.
Several neighbors gathered at the home of Mrs.
A. J. Fox Wednesday afternoon to help Mrs. Mary Smith celebrate
herbirthday anniversary. The afternoon was spent visiting with
refreshments served at the close of the afternoon. Mrs. Smith
received many beautiful cards.

Around Town
Mrs. A. J. Fox entertained Monday evening at
dinner honoring H. K. Parker, who is teaching on the UIU summer
school faculty and spending the summer with his grandmother, Mrs. J.
D. Parker and aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Goebel and will leave at the close
of the summer session for his home in New Jersey.

Mrs. Albert Martin II, Mrs. A. J. Fox and Miss
Grace Meyer visited Miss Chambers a patient in St. Lukes hospital in
Cedar Rapids on Thursday.
