MISSIONARY TEA
On Friday, Sept. 2, at 2:30 p.m., the
Missionary society of the Methodist church will hold their first
meeting of the year with Mrs. Babcock as hostess.
The President's address will be followed by
reports of the work of the past year and notes from the August
Mission Magazines given by Mrs. Dorothy Goebel.
The emblems of both Home and Foreign societies
will then be fashioned with impressive ceremony. In this ritual Mrs.
Marcus Baker, Mrs. Arthur Robinson, Mrs. Donald Pierson, Mrs. Karl
Fox and Mrs. Paul McElroy will take parts. Mrs. Clinton at the piano
will accompany the ceremony and the ladies' trio, consisting of Mrs.
Clinton, Mrs. Rowland and Mrs. Erion, will sing at the interludes.
Tea will be served with Mrs. Parker and Mrs.
Blagg pouring. All ladies of the church and the town are invited to
attend. Attractive programs are ready for distribution.
