ANNIVERSARY TEA
Ladies of the community are most cordially
invited to attend the anniversary tea at the city library room
Thursday afternoon, Dec. 8, at 2:30. A program arranged by the
committee as follows: Reading by Miss Martha Manning, head of the
Speech department of U.I.U; new books on the shelf will be discussed
by Mrs. K. G. Fox; and a violin solo will be played by Miss
Katherine Hetzel. Come and enjoy this fine program.

Personals
The L.A.S. Christmas party at the home of Mrs.
A. J. Fox yesterday afternoon was attended by 41 ladies. Mrs.
Margaret Jayne Collett read a group of Christmas poems which were
much enjoyed. At the table Mrs. F. W. Swartley and Mrs. Jennie
Denniston poured. Donations to the amount of $4.50 were received to
be used in the purchase of kindergarten chairs.
