Cooker Demonstration
Friday afternoon, March 8, the Illyria ladies
met at the home of Mrs. Walter Rothlisberger where she demonstrated
the fireless cooker, made of a cheese box, asbestos, crushed paper
and a pillow filled with crushed paper. The inside well, cover and
collar were made by a tinner at the actual cost of $1.20. Mrs.
Rothlisberger prepared a stew in the cooker and everybody tasted it,
and oh, boy it was good. Those present were Mrs. Mary Ogle,
Mrs. Israel Shaffer, Mrs. Amelia Strong, Mrs. John Rothlisberger,
Mrs. Wallace Peters, Mrs. Ed Gehring, Marie Gehring and Mrs. W.
Rothlisberger. . .
