The Lamoni Chronicle H. G. SCOTT is now serving his first term as auditor of Decatur county. His service has been entirely satisfactory. Mr. SCOTT is a very competent and faithful official; he has attended to the duties of his office in a business like manner, and is entitled to the entire vote of his party; and he will without a doubt be elected for a second term. | The Lamoni Chronicle October 25, 1906 Society Notes. SURPRISED - Last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. E. B. TEALE were agreeably surprised by a number of friends and neighbors who felt that they would like to spend a few pleasant hours with them once more before their departure for Arkansas. A pleasant social time was spent after which a dainty and well-prepared luncheon was served, and at a late hour the friends departed, regretting that parting meant goodbye, yet assuring Mr. and Mrs. TEALE that, should they decide to return in the spring, they would find hearty welcome awaiting them.
