| Meredith notes, "Woodland was a humble place in southeastern
Decatur County. It has now mostly disappeared with only a couple of the
buildings I remember from my youth still in existence. In this undated
photo, from the early 1950's we see the members of the Woodland
Community Sunday School posing in front the the Woodland Church. Archie
Coontz, in the back row and in front of the door, was instrumental in
organizing the Decatur County Song Fests, that were held a various
locations around the county. The church building was torn down a couple
