Thomas H. Wilson was born in the State of Ohio, where he was reared and educated. When twenty-seven years of age he left his native State for Iowa, locating in Garnavillo Township, this county, where he has resided since. In 1854 he settled upon his present farm of 163 acres, which he had purchased of John King the previous year. It is situated on section 22, and contains many excellent improvements, being one of the finest farms in this section. He married Catherine Scudder, whose farther, Thomas
Scudder, was among the pioneers of Clayton County, and
