Host
and hostesses for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Grapenthen’s fiftieth wedding
anniversary March 18th were Mrs. Grapenthen’s sister and husband, Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Matzdorff, nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Booth of
Cherokee and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ruebsam of Omaha, Nebr. The corsages
and table arrangement were provided by the hosts and hostesses. A short
message and prayer was given by Pastor Wehrspann during the afternoon.
Two
hundred and three guests were registered by Mrs. Lydia Ruebsam and Mrs.
Ralph Ruebsam. Mrs. Henry Buddenhagen and Mrs. Walter Meinking dipped
punch; Mrs. Walter Matzdorff and Mrs. Fred Grapenthen poured coffee.
Mrs. Eldon Dilocker served the cake. Kitchen honors went to the
Mesdames Lorenz Koth, Merlin Hasenwinkel, Albert Peterson, Rex Whitney,
Mrs. Jim Nielsen, Mrs. Gerold Van Hooser, and Mrs. Edgar Ericksen wee
table waitresses. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Booth and Ralph Ruebsam were dining
room hosts and hostesses.
Guests were registered from Sioux
City, Storm Lake, Alta, Linn Grove, Sioux Rapids, Sutherland, Peterson,
Galva, Cherokee, Sheldon, Larrabee and Aurelia.
