"Notice from Sheriff McCarty to the Iowa Secretary of State:
"You will preceive from the above list that I have given the numbers of the Heads of
Familys in the different Townships and the Balance of the numbers in there respective
columns with the the different Townships and the Balance of the numbers in there
respective columns with the numbers footed up and the Total amount carried out.
I suppose it was not nessesary to give the Townships seperately nor the numbers of
the heads of familys in each Township but as it was not much trouble I should do so.
