No line numbers appear on the original census and have been assigned to indicate the
enumeration order. Odd numbered pages are extended farming statistics not transcribed.
The names for this township are simply entered in the order they appear on the two
sheets for Owen Township. The enumerator did not enter consecutive numbers for
dwellings/families. However, it appears the "1" indicates new households.
In addition, there is usually no indication of voting status, military, etc. He did,
however, show counties where born and these are included in the transcriber's notes
as valuable references.
