Census Year: 1852
Media Source: Letter #2 - Microfilm at the Iowa Historical Library, Iowa City, Iowa.
                   Letter #1 & #3 - Microfilm FHL# 1022205 (also available HQ# V221-4)
State: Iowa
County: Madison
Townships: All
Enumerator: Sheriff S. Bevins
Enumeration Date: filed 4 August, 5 August & 1 September, 1852

Transcribers Note:
There was an indication that the sheriff had submitted these summaries to the
state offices at least three times and was insisting that a confirming receipt be
returned. Perhaps the state was asking for the full data sheets rather than the
summary each time. The full data sheets were apparently never submitted and were
either destroyed or are languishing in some far corner of the Madison County
        Courthouse.
