WILLIAM AND GEORGE LANSING established themselves in Marne in the early months of the town's existence. Lansing Brothers was the carriage and wagon-making shop in Marne and was located next to Adolph Koch's southwest of Washington and Main Streets. The earliest houses in town were erected by the Lansing Brothers in the northwest part of Marne.
