Wm. F. Miller (line 5, Cold Water Township) an insane man died in Chicago from the affects of a Surgical operation on the head. He died within a few hours after the operation. His home was in this county up to the time of the operation.
I Jeremiah Ellis an assistant to the Marshall of Iowa for the dist. of Butler do Solemly Swear that I have made a true and correct return of all of the deaths in Said Dist for the year ending June 1st, 1860, and that I have acted in accordance with all lawful instructions received by me and tenor of my oath of office. No. of pages in the schedule is 3.
