Michael Freeman -- Margaret Ann Whyte

Mick and Margaret Freeman will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Sunday, Aug. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 19998 Perry Rd in Council Bluffs. They were married Aug. 7, 1966, at Goldfield United Methodist Church in Goldfield, Iowa.

Mick is a retired physics teacher and cross country coach, working his entire career at Abraham Lincoln High School. Margaret is a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant.

Their children are Susan Wheeler and husband, Jim, of Council Bluffs; Sandy Cutler and husband, Jon, of Colo, Iowa; Tom Freeman and wife, Anne, of Nevada, Iowa; David Freeman and wife, Jasmine, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Brad Freeman and Holly Seaton of Council Bluffs; Marcia Mescher and husband, Jake, of Council Bluffs. They have 18 grandchildren: Mia and Macy Wheeler; Steven, Sean and Kenny Cutler; Owen and Aiden Freeman; Troy Algood, Sophia, Nick and Nate Freeman; Emmerson, Bennett, Aliya, Charlie and Daxx Freeman; Maxton and Kolbie Mescher.
