Bertha Adeline Thompson
(June 25, 1854 – February 28, 1907)

Obituary
Mrs. Albert Thompson, whose maiden name was Bertha Adeline Lee, was born at Stevens Point, Wis., June 25, 1854. She was confirmed at Scandinavia, Wis., in May 1869, by Rev. Mikkelson. She was married to Albert Thompson, at Waupnes, Wis., on February 13, 1875. In April of the same year they moved to St. Ansgar, Iowa; and two years later they came to their farm near Deer Creek. Their marriage was blessed with four children, three of whom, and the father survive. Their eldest son, Eddie, died March 27, 1904. Shortly before his death he said to his mother, “It will be but a little while till we meet again.” His prophesy has been fulfilled. Mrs. Thompson died February 28, 1907, having suffered, from internal cancer for many months. As both mother and son had confessed Christ and lived Christian lives we have the blessed hope that they have indeed met again where partings are unknown. The funeral of Mrs. Thompson was held in the Deer Creek N. L. church on Sunday morning, March 3, Rev. M. E. Walderland officiating, and interment was had in the adjoining cemetery.
