Sharon Kaye Bartle, 77, of Sioux City, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at a local care center in Sioux City, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Mark McGlohan officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM, at the church.
Born on March 9, 1947, in Viborg, SD, the daughter of William and Lucille (Tiemann) Jeffords, Sharon's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to faith, family and community.
Sharon attended Jefferson School and graduated from Riverside High School. She married Marlin Bartle on June 1, 1964, in Pipestone, MN. Sharon worked alongside her husband, at Marlin's Heating and Air Conditioning. Their shared work experiences were not just about business; they strengthened the bond of their marriage, creating a partnership married both in love and labor.
In her personal life, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of scrapbooking, reading, and swimming. However, it was spending time with her family that truly filled her heart. She delighted in the laughter of her grandchildren: Luke, Lex, Danika, Drew, Logan, and Catie, who were the light of her life and a source of abundant pride.
Sharon was more than just a devoted family member; she was a pillar of faith within her community. A dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church, she was actively involved in the Bible Study Fellowship and the Women's Group. Her participation in the Christian Women's Club further reflected her commitment to serving others, showcasing her warmth and compassion for all those around her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Marlin Bartle; sons: Brian (Jennifer) Bartle, of Cottage Grove, MN, and Troy (Shelly) Bartle, of Minneapolis, MN; her grandchildren: Luke, Lex, Danika, Drew, Logan, and Catie; siblings: William Jeffords, Scott Jeffords, Ramona "Mona" Jeffords, and Melanie (Larry) Dicks; and numerous nieces and nephews, who shared countless memories and joyful gatherings throughout the years.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Michael, Terry, and Ronnie; along with her beloved maternal and paternal grandparents.
As we remember Sharon Kaye Bartle, we celebrate a woman who embodied love, faith, and devotion. Her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding all of us to cherish each moment and hold our loved ones close. In her name, we strive to carry forward the values she instilled and the love she so generously shared.
