Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church 304 S Maryville St, Calmar, IA with Rev Henry Huber presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Helms Funeral Home/ French Chapel 202 South Washington St. Calmar, IA, with a scripture service at 3:15 p.m. and a CDA Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday morning.

Louise was born on April 12, 1941, to Greg and Esther (Murray) Zweibohmer in Decorah IA. She was the second oldest (by minutes to her twin, Lois) and was raised with her seven siblings on a dairy farm near Ossian. After graduating from DeSales High School, she intended to devote her life to the Church yet changed course when she met the love of her life. Louise married John Heying on September 9, 1961, and faithfully served each other and God by nurturing their family. Her passions included dancing with John whenever she could, playing to win in cards, cribbage, and other games, and reading romance novels. Knowing Louise meant you knew the score of the Cubs game, you listened to polkas and the rosary on the radio, the ONLY flavor option was chocolate, and that there would always be an apple pie on the counter or cookies in the freezer. Louise loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of strong faith and acceptance. While we remember and celebrate Louise, know her prayers have been answered; she is now free of pain and dancing again!!
