Some relatives from Prairie du Chien attended the funeral of Grandmother Silhacek last Thursday.

Frandmother{sic} Silhacek passed away on Tuesday Nov. 10th, after being seriously ill for some time. Death came to her at the age of about 82 years. The funeral occurred Friday at 10 o’clock at the St. Wenceslaus church, Rev. Broz performing the obsequies. Anton Balk was funeral director. The pall bearers were Frank Albrecht, James Fisher, Frank Chejka, Simon Michael, Wenzel Zak and Anton Snyder. She leaves to mourn her aged husband and many grandchildren.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Anna who was born June 10, 1835.
