Rites Announced for Lake Mills Woman, 97

LAKE MILLS, Dec. 27. — Funeral services for Mrs. Bergeth Brekke, 97, will be conducted Thursday at the Winnebago church. She was born in Norway. The past 35 years she had lived with her son, Nels, being confined to bed 20 years and blind 18 years. Mrs. Brekke had three other sisters in this country, who lived to more than 90. One, who resided at Stewartville, Minn., died at 98. She lived to see five generations in her family. Eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and her son survive.
