JoAnna M. (Woodley) Kondora, 34, died on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

JoAnna was born on February 15, 1985, in Mason City, Iowa. She grew up on a farm North of Thompson, Iowa, where she was surrounded by her pets, horses, and 4-H projects. Active in high school, she served as a senate page during her senior year before graduating from North Iowa High School in 2003. Next, she attended Kirkwood Community College where she earned an Associate Degrees in Restaurant and Hotel Management and baking certificate.

In the Spring of 2011, she married Nathan Kondora in Iowa City, Iowa. They made their home in Iowa City before moving to Lansing, Iowa, in 2014 where they began managing the Red Barn Resort and Campground. A joyful spirit, JoAnna could brighten anyone’s day with her smile. She loved running the restaurant and campground, enjoying all the people she met and the friends she made along the way. She will be, dearly, missed by all who knew and loved her.

JoAnna is survived by her parents, Jeff and Margot Woodley; her brother, Tyler (Sadie) Woodley, of Iowa City; her nephew and nieces, Alyssa Wasmund and Alexander and Adrianna Woodley; and her paternal grandparents, Jim and Margaret Redel, of Anamosa, Iowa, as well as by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Margie Sterrenberg, and her paternal grandfather, Morris Woodley.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 18, 2019, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark Street, Forest City, Iowa 50436. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 183 2nd Avenue East, Thompson, Iowa 50478, with Pastor Luke Evans of the Thompson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson, Iowa.
