John B. Marsh was the son of George W. Marsh and Sarah Ellen (Beem) Marsh. He was the grandson of George Marsh and Charlotte (Page) Marsh. John B. was born in Lehigh, Iowa in 1880. He was a highly exprienced cattle breeder and successful too. His wife's name was Emma Mae. His daughter's name was Marian Marsh Reeves.
John B. Marsh was an influential citizen of Lehigh. He was a the President of the local Bank. He was a School Board President. Helping and serving his community were important to him. One day he said he was going to run for mayor and he did. He won too.
