I am looking for information for Samuel H. or A. Kirkpatrick who may be buried at Hillcrest but the stone there is unreadable. He is also on Find a Grave in Elm Grove with little info on death and no stone photo. S. A. Kirkpatrick is listed in WPA records in Brighton and the stone appears to be for a Civil War veteran. Any info would be appreciated. If you have access to the Washington County Genealogical/Historical Society Booklets, they may have info.

I believe that he may have served in the 25th Iowa Infantry in the Civil War, but I am searching for proof that he is the right person.
