Marriage of Clyde Proudfoot & Inez Henderson
Advocate-Tribune, Indianola, Iowa, Thursday, Jan 3, 1907, p.3
Proudfoot – Henderson
At five o’clock on Thursday at the home of the bride’s parents, J. H. Henderson and wife, occurred the marriage of Miss Inez Spray Henderson to Clyde Danton Proudfoot. The ceremony, which was performed by Dr. Emory Miller, of Des Moines, was witnessed by the relatives and a few intimated friends. The home was beautifully festooned with Christmas decorations of holly and evergreen. Judge Henderson gave away his daughter, the bride and groom being unattended, were preceded by Master Brenton Henderson with the ring and Kathrine Carpenter and Harriett Henderson as ribbon girls. The impressive ring service was used after which the guests joined with the minister in repeating the Lord’s prayer.
The bride was beautifully gowned in a dress of white net trimmed in lace, a garland of orange blossoms caught up the long white veil which reached to the floor. She carried a shower of bridal roses. These young people are both well and favorably known to practically all the citizens of Indianola, both having been raised here and having received their education in the Indianola schools and Simpson College.
