I have a fairly complete history of the churches that have been in Ottumwa and Open Mission is not one of them. John Shelley was most likely not homeless. In the 1910 census he is living with his wife Lottie, aged 22 and a daughter, Doris aged 1 4/12 years. My records show that he married Lottie Bean on 3 Jun 1905.

The 1910 census does not show a Cathermen living in Ottumwa.
