I have the following information: He is Ludger (Jerry) Brisson, born 4/18/1845 in Embrun, Russell Co., Ontario. He and Comfort (AKA Comford) Osborn had six children: Charles, Mary (married Joseph Coyne), Anny (married Alexandre Millaire), William, Zelina, and Joseph (married Regina Clement dit Proulx). Comford died in or before 1885 in Ottumwa, and Ludger moved the family back to Embrun (explaining why there were no Brissons in Wapello County in 1900. He then married Cordelie Phenix in Embrun in 1885 and had 7 additional children, including my grandfather, Leo. Ludger's great-great grandfather (Nicolas) went to Quebec from Badonviller, France in 1755 as a soldier during the French and Indian Wars.

Do you have any information on Comfort's parents? I haven't found anything.
